Updating ontologies

To update ontologies, using instructions in this document
-generate ontologies
-copying updated ontologies to our s3 bucket
-update ontology version in the buildout.cfg
Is there any additional step i.e. run buildout. Looks like I have to update the ontologies on my local instance, run buildout and then deploy on aws?
