It appears to use a transparent 'colour'? Another would be easier to see

In general I think this is a hard image to startoff annotation with, perhaps an image over a clear and flat region would be preferable

OK just read 'In some projects (including, for example, IRIS' demo) there is a class that is in some sense the background or default, which one does not want to visualise with a coloured overlay.'
