Support Pi connecting via Bluetooth to OBDII dongle?

Hi,

I'm really sorry if this is, for some reason, a terrible idea.
As the Raspberry Pi Zero W has bluetooth support, is it possible for the Raspberry Pi Zero W to connect to a bluetooth OBD-2 dongle instead of an expensive CanBus interface, etc?

I did get a Bluetooth OBDII dongle to work for my EVNotiPi.
I have some documentation here.
