some more suggestions

Hi,

It is regarding the SSH and DesktopEnvironment scripts, at least for the Apt ones.

  1. I think it should be better to set the SSH configuration by putting the file in /etc/ssh/sshd_config.d/
and not by overriding the entire content of /etc/ssh/sshd_config (provided/managed by the openssh-server package)
(see a related point reported here: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1023509)

  2. For VNC could it be possible to not provide the vncserver-start/stop scripts in /usr/local/bin even if it took the benefit of the PATH. Not modifying the content of the linux FS image elsewhere that the HOME root could be better, isn't it? In particular cases of update or regeneration. In fact, are they really useful, just messaging the user about the sample commands to run for that, no? The export for HOME and USER if needed may be in a ~/.profile or ~/.bashrc file?

  3. Having the possibility for a separate FS for HOME root could then be even more better to conserve its content in case of a linux FS refresh/update.

  4. Appending DISPLAY to /etc/profile in de-apt-lxde.sh could be avoid and treated similarly to my export remark at the point 2.

Regards,
Patrice
