Sparrow as Infrastructure

Should Sparrow.org provide hosting/DevOps/importer consultation to laboratories?

There is a push to get labs write there own importers and standup their own sparrow servers. Perhaps sparrow.org should 1) offer cloud hosted instances of Sparrow 2) use staff developers to write importers.

I know the hope is that once a lab has an importer than then thats it, but in practice dev support is ALWAYS required. The docs are never 100% and sustainable software dev is not a core competence of lab staff.

So if Sparrow.org offered a "service" to Labs, scaling up and out may accelerate.
