match variable symbols in Fig. 3 table to rest of manuscript

@NidhiVinod , reviewer 1 commented on this, and I agree that it's important that they match. The journal will adjust the figures, but it's important to make sure we communicate how the symbols should look. I know it's hard to get this to work in R, so perhaps just edit in Powerpoint.

Does the reviewer mean subscripts for the symbols in the table? for e.g. tair, gs?

That's great for g_s and T_air! You should make sure the others also match other uses in the manuscript. For example, RH is probably capitalized elsewhere, right?
