I see this as a pretty small issue that doesn't require restructuring. Let's pause on this and other biophysical revisions until we talk with Tom.

@NidhiVinod, this is a relevant re-fixation study that we can reference (it also reports on CO2 gradients within the canopy, and estimates % contribution of refixation to total understory plant CO2 uptake):
