Windows XP Professional RTM Retail SP0 refuses to activate.
other versions of Professional work fine.
This is the version I use below.
The only workaround I found is to install Service Pack 1, Activate it and then finally remove Service Pack 1

Worked for me on 86box. I couldn't start it directly in the VM due to a KERNAL32 error.
