If I enable this blocklist(and frankly all others except a few bad apples), then this is the only blocklist that will block the above whitelist-requested domain (ie. bigota.d.miui.com
) which is necessary for Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro mobile phone in order for it to download the System
update (that is: Settings->About phone->MIUI Version
->Update) ie. MIUI 13.0.4.0.SJUEUXM Stable 454 MB
.
So, to workaround this: I've had to add bigota.d.miui.com
to whitelist(in NextDns, the Allowlist
tab), wait 5 minutes (300 seconds) for the old DNS (of 0.0.0.0
) for that host to expire in my phone's DNS cache or what not, then try again and this time it worked(downloaded the update).
Note that I didn't have to also whitelist enbigota.d.miui.com
, it worked with it on blacklist just fine, for me.
Note: ota = over the air
