Not showing on top of some games

Me and my streaming friend are having an issue, where the ghostchat is not showing on top of some games, even if they are in borderless window.. We don't know why this is happening, and only for some games, the most recent being stardew valley. It works on normal windowed, but we'd like to prevent having the window-bars showing
