Unclear who the road corresponds to when multiple names in Wikidata could match

For the name: Victor Ruffy , there are two possibilities. I have chosen the first as the person is older and therefore it is more likely that the street was named after him. Can someone confirm?

1. https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q678568 -> member of the Swiss Federal Council (1823-1869)
2. https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q16979796 -> Swiss politician (1937-2016)

Confirmed as per @eginhard

For the road: Avenue Auguste Tissot

I have assumed that this refers to: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q124273 -> please verify.

@nitramwin Wow, you're fast! I didn't even advertise the project yet. If you'd like, I can also add you to the @EqualStreetNames/lausanne team to get direct access to the repository.

For Avenue Jean-Jacques-Mercier-Marcel (https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/109747028) there are also at least 2 candidates: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q3166352 (father), https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q3166351 (son).

Seems correct and is also mentioned in https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samuel_Auguste_Tissot

Also seems correct based on the dates and https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victor_Ruffy

I will try and verify in person from the street signs if possible (to be added here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Street_signs_in_Lausanne).

Road: Terrasse Jean Monnet

I have assumed that this Jean Monet is https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q159700 and not https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q3173579 . Can someone confirm that this makes sense?

Status: Confirmed by @eginhard

Road: Rue Soubeyran

Possible match: Pierre Soubeyran: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q3387024

Status: Under investigation

Looks good, e.g. he founded https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fondation_Jean-Monnet_pour_l%27Europe

Road: Rue Soubeyran

Possible match: Pierre Soubeyran: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q3387024

Probably, although Wikipedia notes that he is often mistaken with his cousin with almost the same name and dates... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pierre_Soubeyran

While it does say that on the Wikipedia page, I would think that Swiss engraver is meant by the road and not someone having passed much time in Lyon. Does that make sense? As of the current moment, I have left this road name blank. Perhaps if you are convinced, you could add the entry?

Based on the end of this page as well as the continuation here, I think the Avenue is named after the III Mercier who seems to have pushed the name Flon to much greater importance.
