vertical line [flow animation]

Hi,
I wanted to know whether we can add any animation to the vertical line (similar to the flow of timeline).
Like I wanted to design the vertical line in such a way that, when we scroll down or when the page refreshes, the vertical line should animate down to a particular time (just like a liquid flow animation).
So, is it possible to do so?

@srswain2 were you able to find solution to this? Any luck here? Any other package that can help me to achive this? Please help.
