How should ambiguous relationships be expressed?

Does the spec make any recommendations on how to express relationships such as sibling, cousin, or uncle when you don't know exactly through which family line the person is related?

The idea was to create a Relationship with a custom relationship type. If there's enough demand for these kinds of relationships, we might need to create another spec defining some of these relationship types. That hasn't happened yet because we haven't known enough about what types are needed.

I'll try to find a place in the docs to record this.
