Bug description

Hello Farbstoff and Staff,

I know this bug has been around awhile with the Helper getting stuck minimized and unresponsive to inputs. I have been testing the helper on a few different computers and wanted to share my data with you. I play on 3 different computers daily and only see this bug happen on 1 of my rigs (the Samsung galaxy book 2 360). The systems I play on are as follows:

  1. Samsung galaxy book2 360 (laptop link)
    a. 12th Gen Intel i7-1255U 1.70 GHz
    b. 16 GB ram
    c. Integrated Intel Iris XE GPU
    d. Windows 11 home (version 22h2)

  2. Custom built PC:
    a. Ryzen 5600x (running stock no OC’s)
    b. Asus TUF GAMING B550M-PLUS (WI-FI) mobo
    c. CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 64GB (4 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3200
    d. EVGA GeForce RTX 3070 XC3 Black Gaming, 08G-P5-3751-KL, 8GB GDDR6
    e. Windows 11 Pro (version 22h2)

  3. Asus zenbook flip 15 UM562 (laptop link)
    a. AMD Ryzen 7 4700U Mobile Processor
    b. 16 GB ram
    c. AMD Radeon R5 Graphics
    d. Windows 11 Pro (version 22h2)

When I play on my Samsung laptop the helper will run fine for 30-45 minutes before it either becomes unresponsive to user inputs (in which it still functions and is caring out the last given commands), gets stuck minimized (Still executing last given command), or completely freezes (Helper is completely offline and all functions stop). If I minimize and maximize too many times in a short period it will also get stuck minimized. Another thing to note, the new version of the Helper has the initialize window open up while starting. About 50% of the time on my Samsung laptop this window never closes even though the Helper is fully loaded and functional. I have to drag it off the screen as much as windows will allow since we can’t minimize it, which is annoying because it gets stuck on top of all other apps open.
None of this behavior happens on my other 2 systems and my best deduction I have come up with is it has to have something to do with the integrated Intel Iris GPU. I wish I had an external GPU box to plug into my Samsung laptop to bypass Intel Iris. I guess it could also be affected by windows home but for some reason that feels like a long shot to me.
As I said earlier, I know this is a known bug, but I thought I would pass along my observations with my different systems in case it can help you troubleshoot whatever error is happening.

Happy Raiding Y’all and a huge thank you for taking the time to continually progress this amazing tool. The only reason I still play raid after 3 years is because of the helper. I don’t even log on to the mobile client anymore unless it is an emergency.

Respectively/
Shalk
