Feitian iR301 reader cannot work on iOS 10

Hi All

We did test iR301 series reader on iOS 10, we found the reader cannot detect by iOS 10. After we did deeply check and found the issue is compatible problem, to solve this issue, we will provide new firmware for end user to update their reader and work on iOS 10. But the real problem should be happen in latest iOS version.

On other hand, we submit issue to Apple engineer to let them check and make patch for iOS system. If your iOS already update to 10, please wait our new firmware or contact hongbin@ftsafe.com, we will send to you.

We are very sorry take this trouble for you, seriously. And feitian will try our best to solve this issue ASAP. Thanks for your understanding,

We just made firmware for Feitian iDock readers, please find solution from below:

  1. Download update file and BIN file -> https://github.com/FeitianSmartcardReader/iR301_SDK_Latest/archive/master.zip
  2. Open tool by administrator and re-plug reader
  3. Choose the right BIN and start updating.

  1. We was publish a few hardware version, their firmware is different, so before start update, please confirm your firmware.
  2. Please make sure that your reader is Feitian standard one, which Model number is iR301, If your reader is OEM by our customer, please contact them directly.

After did test for iPad, the iPad 4, mini 2,3,4, iPad Air 1,2 don't need to update to latest firmware.
The accessory can work with these iOS device with iOS 10 correctly.

The issue was fixed by Apple, latest iOS version without any issue with Feitian reader. close.
