options lost on vivaldi + vivaldi cannot import backup file

I use up-to-date browsers on ubuntu 23.10: vivaldi and chrome.
I just restarted my vivaldi browser and on startup all configuration settings of SwitchyOmega were lost.
I never made a backup file but I had a chrome browser open (both use SwitchyOmega 2.5.21) and make a backup file.
When I tried to import the backup file in vivaldi it stated that it was an invalid backup file.
