Dear sirs:

I'm already using an ASPEL Database and my computer have already installed Firebird, However, i've been trying to install the Firebird 2.5 ODBC in order to work my Database in Excel, but when i try to connect the database, it just says "Unable to connect the Data Source library 'gds32.dll'.

It also happens with any database, also with the EMPLOYEE.FDB example Database.

I copied Fbclient.dll to System32 folder and named it gds32.dll, i did the same to the SYSWOW64 folder.

I'm using SYSDBA key, whit masterkey pwd.

With IBExpert, i connect my database so well, also in ASPEL.

I don't know what else can i do.

Could you please help me?

Thanks a lot.

I've noticed that if you install only the ODBC driver (e.g. from https://www.firebirdsql.org/en/odbc-driver/) you'll be missing the option to install the still needed GDS32DLL.
Luckely some1 give a hint to install the Firebird SERVER component, because then you'll have the option to install the GDS32DLL. This option is missing in the 'pure' ODBC Driver install.
