Add Redis and Riak to the list of "NoSQL" databases

You've got MongoDB and CouchDB already; Riak shows promise for journalism data management as does Redis. You might also want to look at Hadoop and HBase, although I think they're a bit less relevant.

Nope, not going to cover this ground. I'll only namecheck Mongo and Couch as storage engines for objects. Redis and Riak are much less suitable as general purpose data storage engines and I won't be able to adequately enumerate when they would be appropriate in a survey course at this high level. As to distributed solutions like: Hadoop, I've yet to ever see a data journalism project that needed that amount of firepower.
