Getting the technological wonder puts green "new thing" symbol on resources that aren't unlocked yet

I can't get rid of the green "new thing" mark on the resources tab because I've already looked at all the new things (which are the T3 machines).
I figure this is probably because some reasources I haven't unlocked yet, eg. lava, haven't had their new thing seen.
