Checkbox, group and other roles narrated as "blank"when in table using forms mode

Opened this issue · 4 comments

Summary

After explicitly switching to the forms/application mode, if user navigates with the Tab key to an element with the checkbox, group and maybe other roles inside a cell of table, datagrid or treegrid, JAWS does not narrate the element name and type properly, bbut instead narrates "blank".

Steps to reproduce

  1. Visit the example page.
  2. Turn off the virtual cursor mode.
3 . Using the Tab key, navigate to some checkbox inside the table.
  3. Listen to the JAWS narration.

Expected result

JAWS should narrate the name and type of the element (checkbox in this case).

Actual result

JAWS instead narrates "blank".

Example

Example is here.

@adamsamec i tested using your test case and could reproduce. I am unclear as to the use case for "explicitly switching to the forms/application mode"
