PSN name change issues

I recently changed my PSN Name, which caused GOG Galaxy to fail to connect.

While Several PSN trophy sites will update the name after obtaining trophy after the update, or will detect the same user after scanning the new name. These sites however don't require the user to login using their PSN credentials, just their PSN user name. Sites like Bungie which require a PSN login for PS4 customers worked ok. PS apps required a re-login to before working, however this may be due to auto Log out on the app.

Solutions:

1. Disconnecting, then connecting again works. However Galaxy treats it a few integration and adds a Spike of "new" games. Given the beta Nature of Galaxy, and a optional plugin, I'll assume that little to no info about this was looked at. Make it clearer that this may be requirement to the changed username.
2. It's apparent given some sites ability to find the new User name without needing to press a Button. Ideally, I would like this to be the thing. I'll assume at some point you'll have some access to the PSN Friends list.
