ZSO raw file size on internal HDD same as ISO

synrais opened this issue · 3 comments

I ran out of room adding 1.3tb of ZSO to a 2tb HDD.
Checked some games and they seem to get added as the original iso size.

EG:
Ultimate Spider Man Limited Edition.zso 3.1gb gets added @ 4.1gb

1945 I II The Arcade Games.zso 95mb
1945 I II The Arcade Games.iso 161mb
Final game raw size on internal HDD 256mb regardless of file used.

Why is this? No matter what method I use the raw size is always the same on internal HDD

I started with a collection of ZSO, my method to add was

In the current logic, the zso needs the original iso to take information, so it will take the size of the iso but it will install the zso instead of the iso the size given is the size of origin of the iso but not of the zso that's why I put the message experimental

Any news about support of normal (and useful) usage ZSO with HDD?

Unfortunately no, I don't think there will be any further improvements as the PFS partition scheme will be deprecated in the future with support for the exfat format, which can support hard drives larger than 128PB , 512 TB

so no longer need the zso format or even installation software a simple drag and drop will suffice to install the games
