The visualization was not found on the server (Nov 2018 Qlik Sense)

With Nov 2018 version of Qlik Sense:

  • Extension had been installed successfully via QMC,
  • Extension appeared in application's Extensions Pane,
  • When placed onto page an "Invalid Visualization. The visualization was not found on the server. This extension is not available. GINQO_MasterItemManager." error message appear.

Details:

  • Issue persisted after restarting services, which in some cases in the past resolved similar "not found" issues.
  • I have full access rights to this extension via QMC.
  • Similarly described issue with NONRELATED Qlik extension named "The visualization was not found on the server #17" and posted here [https://github.com/balexbyrd/sense-FieldUI/issues/17] made me want to check with the code owner.

This does not seem to help my situation. I performed the following:

  1. Downloaded new Master-Item-Manager-master.ZIP from https://github.com/GINQO/Master-Item-Manager. (All included files were created/modified on 6/4/2020)
  2. Removed old version via QMC.
  3. Installed an extension. Extension appeared to install correctly. No errors. The name appeared in QMC.
  4. Restarted services (but not the server itself).
  5. In application dragged the extension onto the page. The same error appear.

Please let me know if I miss something.

We are not an early adapters, so at its current state our server is running "Nov 2018 version" of Qlik Sense. I know this is unreasonably old, and perhaps this contributes to the problem greatly.

https://github.com/GINQO/Master-Item-Manager/releases/tag/May-2019 solves the issue with my current version of Qlik Sense. Thank you!
