ShudarsanRegmi opened this issue · 1 comments

Describe the bug

When the Remote Input feature is used, mouse works fine but the Keyboard doesn't seem to work properly. The backspace key, the enter key doesn't work.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to Remote Input in KDE Connect
  2. Click on keyboard icon on the top bar
  3. Now try using the popped up, your system keyboard
  4. All other keys works fine, but when you press backspace and Enter key it doesn't work

Expected behavior

Upon pressing the Enter key, it should type a newline character in the computer
Upon pressing the backspace key, the letter before the cursor should be deleted

Notes

I'm using Gboard as my keyboard in my phone.

Hmm. I'm typing this using GBoard on my phone. Both backspace and Enter work fine.

It would be helpful if you could do a Generate Support Log capture (see the project wiki for instructions) and post the results, so we can look into what the differences are.

(You didn't mention what Linux application you attempted to type into, but it's also a good idea to try typing into a different one, in case the issue is application-specific. I used Remote Input with Google Chrome, targeting GitHub's web interface, and had no problems. But that doesn't mean there are no problems with other targets.)

My tests were also performed with GSConnect v57. Version 56 is technically no longer supported, so I can't promise we'll be able to fix the issue, but I'll help how I can.
