Q&A: I've got a DOL-101. What do I do?

As seen in 2021 Complete Guide to GameCube Game Save Exploits - YouTube, I’ve been looking around and ended up on your channel. Since Freeloader is out of stock and I own Super Smash Bros Meelee, I thought that your path might be interesting!
The unfortunate fact is that I have a DOL-101, so do you know what are my options to play gamecube games? Is hardmoding the only solution?
DOL-001 (original) vs DOL-101 (revised) GameCube
The reason people like the DOL-001 (original) GameCube is that it has two things later revisions don't
- Digital Video (supports HDMI adapter)
- Serial Port 2 (supports SD2SP2 adapter)
Those are nice to have, but they're not necessary. In particular, there's no real advantage to the SP2 other than being able to hide away your SD card... but then you have to turn the thing upside down to access it so... tomato, potato.
The DOL-101 (revised) GameCube will still load Homebrew works just as well as the original with
- Swiss, GBI, Emulators, etc
- GameSave hacks
- SD Gecko (SD Adapter for Slot B, works with cards of any size)
- XenoGC (soldered)
- GC Loader / Lite (solderless)
