Sugestion hardware: DPAK positive voltage regulator

I propose replacing the 12V voltage regulator with a small step-down converter module.
The small chip in a DPAK chassis is not suitable for this application.
After a while of operation, even at low load with one fan, it heats up to a very high temperature, limiting itself to a very low power.
