The vcredist stage of the installer can cause a reboot under certain circumstances. In addition to /q, we should also specify the /norestart option.

@Hoikas do we know which specific circumstances? I realize this is just MS being shitty, but if we could know what was going on here I'd be pretty happy

I think it's because I had some pending windows updates. Windows installer said "ohai, we need to reboot, so let's do that!" 😠
