[Awesomesauce]: Jpeg-XL support

Closed this issue · 1 comments

Describe the bug

This isn't really a bug I just wanted to say how awesome it is that tuba supports jpeg-xl on gentoo with the flatpak edition.

Testing it out on the iceshrimp.net beta right now.

Seems to work, which is great! Because jxl doesnt work on my firefox browser :D

Good to hear!

But it's not something I did intentionally. GdkPixbuf, the image loading library used by GTK & friends, supports a wide variety of image formats + plugins, like the webp loader https://github.com/aruiz/webp-pixbuf-loader!

Eventually we will move to glycin https://gitlab.gnome.org/sophie-h/glycin to support even more formats in a sandboxed way to avoid image fromat based exploits!
