Write to Tape does not stop recording

Hi,
using an Ultimate 1541 II+, having it attached to a C64 including the tape-adapter and have a Datasette connected to it, after writing a TAP-File to tape, the Datasette does not stop recording.
The mail feature "write tap to tape" works fine, but since tape's are slow, writing a TAP-File to tape takes it's while.
Currently, if you want to note your counter-readings to be able to record another taper to that cassette you have to observe the whole recording process and stop the recording by hand.
Would it be possible to stop recording after the TAP-File ended, like SAVE in basic does?
