Tagging you here @em-t in case you want to grab this. While implementing the CLI function, the toolkit function implementation should be checked if it's OK. I'm not sure for example if it's handling input 3D arrays correctly.

Just checking as your work on EIS is apparently ending @em-t , did you do any work on this yet? At least I couldn't find a branch in GH that seemed to relate to this.
