This really should be a default chromium feature m

It is a default Chromium feature now. It wasn’t when the extension was created. The extension lets you choose between rich and plain link copying, the built-in feature always copies the plain link.

@tomayac great :) although I don't see this exposed on android :(

It's not exposed quite yet, that's true. You can follow implementation progress by looking at https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/list?q=label%3Ash-clank.

@tomayac bruh your link doesn't yield any result, and latest chrome canary on Android doesn't seem to expose copy url to sélection. It's been a year, please the world needs tewt fragments.
How else can I send a relevant section of a scientific paper on forum without readers being lost..
Edit: OK my bad you can actually share a text fragment by simply using share on a text selection, I didn't realize it outputed a text fragment by default. However I have a bug:
When I share a text selection and copy it give me
"Gallium3D OpenGL open-source driver around the shader selector code. One of the changes in"
https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=RadeonSI-Shader-Comp-Threads#:~:text=Gallium3D%20OpenGL%20open%2Dsource%20driver%20around%20the%20shader%20selector%20code.%20One%20of%20the%20changes%20in
As you can see, I obviously want to copy a link you can output on a web browser
Prepending the selection before the link
""Gallium3D OpenGL open-source driver around the shader selector code. One of the changes in""
Make the link unusable without manual removal of this useless text.
So please provide a copy url option in addition to your default copy button.
Also, the copy button in the share interface is extremely badly located, youbhave to horizontal scroll to see it since the recent addition of the useless add reaction button.. They must be reordererd.

You can toggle between "text" and "text + URL". My understanding is that you would like an additional third option "URL". I have reported this as https://crbug.com/1325754, feel free to star this bug. I'm keeping this current Issue closed, since this is at its core an Android Chrome request.

Thank you tomayac!
