Mod failing to create config file (and reading existing config file) on current version of Forge (43.2.6)

I've noticed that after updating my forge version, this mod has stopped working entirely.

It appears that the crashlog is showing it's something to do with the config file.

I attempted to wipe the existing file, expecting it to reproduce another one in its place, but it didn't do so, leading to me assuming something is wrong with the way the mod and forge interact in regards to its config file.

This was used in a modpack, but I don't see why my other mods would be affecting this mod.
