[Feature Request]: Active State on a Button

Closed this issue · 2 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe

There's currently no active state on a button. This means that when a button is clicked, the only notification a user gets that a button is being clicked, is the focus state on that button. This is even more a problem if the user tabs to a button, which activates the focus state, and then tries to click it, there's absolutely no change to show it's being clicked.

Describe the solution you'd like

I'd like to see some kind of active state for buttons, that help show that the button is actually being clicked.

Provide evidence this is a needed component

This is done for almost every other button components that are made for the general public to use. But you can see examples here, angular material, salesforce, twilio, gitlab. That's enough examples, but you can find as many as you want just by looking around.
