Barfights

  • Characters are transported to a 'dream' where they must fight drunken brawlers. Can only access fists
  • Rep can take a hit if you kill a patron (only possible using magic or deadly fists. Monks can choose non lethal fists)
  • Includes all and only any character performing, carousing or gathering information
  • higher Chance of occurrence for each char p,c or gi.
  • knockouts count as "kill"--gain xp
  • chance characters are drunk to varying degrees
  • any character knocked out does not gain benefit of rest other than fatigue reduction (not full reduction as normal rest)

Carousing

  • Spend gold to gain xp
  • Inns only
  • Cha dependent
  • Chance of barfight or hangover
  • Chance to learn rumor
  • Chance to increase or decrease reputation

Performing

  • Gain gold during rest
  • Inns only
  • Cha (and possibly performance) dependent
  • Chance of barfight
  • Chance to learn rumor
  • Chance to increase or decrease reputation

Temple philanthropy

  • Give to specific cause at temples to gain xp
  • Temple only
  • not rest specific but added dialogues in temples

Gather information

  • Spend gold to learn infos and rumors
  • Inn only
  • Chance to gain xp
  • Chance to gain or lose reputation
  • Chance of barfight
  • Chance to learn about new locations or gain quest opportunities

Crafting items

  • not always rest specific
  • can require interaction with certain objects (e.g. forges) or require certain items (e.g. Alchemist kit)

Enchanting items

  • excepting non permanent items, must have appropriate items in inventory

Weapon Practice

  • must have weapon in inventory
  • Chance to gain proficiency

Maintaining equipment

  • Equipment related bonus next day

Cooking

  • Chance to multiply rations
  • Cook food that increases healing and/or gain bonuses next day
  • Can pay extra to gain these bonuses at inns

Research

  • Spend gold to learn new spells or crafting recipes
  • not rest specific but added dialogues in certain areas
  • Chance to gain xp
  • Chance to learn about new locations or gain quest opportunities

Rest

  • Do nothing else but rest the entire time. Gain the benefits of a Bless spell for the next day(?)
