GrapheneOS/Auditor

Error encountered generating attestation

Hello!

I am trying to verify a device with another device, but as soon as I scan the QR code I get a red screen with the following error message:

Error encountered generating attestation:

invalid verified boot key fingerprint:
C51........................................78F

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Which device model and OS?

The auditee is a Google Pixel 3 running Android 13 (DivestOS).

DivestOS isn't currently supported by Auditor. We're willing to support it but they would need to submit all their key fingerprints to the database.

Thanks!

Just for the record:
I also tried to do it the other way around, use the Google Pixel 3 to audit the other phone, a Fairphone 5, but when I try to click "Auditee (device being verified)" I get a small notification at the bottom saying:

Device is not one of the supported models.

The FP5 is currently running Android 14 - LineageOS.

Fairphone 5 is not a supported device. LineageOS is insecure and lacks verified boot support so there's no way to support it. Fairphone's devices have quite awful security too but we wouldn't really mind supporting all Android devices in a generic way that's marked as less secure.

Pixel 3 is of course quite insecure due to being end-of-life.
