Crash at startup when the device doesn't have an internet connection

Steps to reproduce:

  • If the device is using a wired connection, disconnect it.
  • If the device has WiFi, turn on airplane mode.
  • End the current user's session / reboot the PC.
  • The message shown in the print below should pop-up in the notifications when the app starts.
