Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I don't use the number row so I only see the numbers as hints on the first row. I don't see the symbols which forces me to use the symbols layout. I would use the main keyboard layout if I knew the symbol, such as %, was there.
I also use german umlauts. It would be nice to have them dislayed as well.

I'd like to have 2 hints per key instead of 1.
Use case
As per above, I don't use the number row. I'd rather use the main keyboard to type the symbols because I type them occassionally. I'm forced to use the symbols layout because I don't know the symbols are in the main layout.
Describe alternatives you've considered (if any)
- I have to use the symbols layout.
- I have to long press each key to find out where the symbol is.
- Switch hint order of number and symbol which hides the number instead.
- Add number row even if I don't want to.
You mean you want something like this ?
Something like Unexpected Keyboard. From the "t" key, I can see I can get 5 and %. Both symbols are displayed on the key itself.
Indeed, I understand better with screenshot and it's currently not possible.
Let's wait and see if this will be taken into account.
It should apply to single character popups only. Long popups, like ".com", won't fit the key.
