Add Virgin Islands as residence?

While going through the errors in pocom flagged by the schema, I was surprised to see that we had no residence for Terence Alphonso Todman. I checked the print copy of the book, and it turns out that he was born in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Can we add "vi" as an acceptable entry for the '' element? Thanks.

Obviously I still can't figure out how to make elements appear. I would like to have "vi" in the "state-id" element.
