Box drawing characters have spaces between them

Where do you find that file? 6.3 is for the non-Mono ones?

By version, I was referring to what I saw in the "releases" page. Didn't realize mono uses different versioning. Here's what I'm using (v2.3 as well):

Also for what it's worth, I'm using the otf version. I'll try out the ttf ones and see if that makes any difference.
