Regional page

  • Important: Make country name click through from the popup (ideally with the same filters)
  • Remove selected items from the filters (where are we on this)?
  • To bring in wildfires from gwis we discussed with Justin to do same way as you already have the other hazards.
  • Can we make the hazard direct which metric is displayed in the next dropdown, i.e. hazard first, people exposed second (like on country page)?

Country:

  • Legend tooltips on click instead of hover? Takes up too much focus.
  • Remove Risks by month section (text, slider and table) - instead maybe we can add the month slider to regional pages? I remember we removed it from there but don’t remember the reason.
  • EAP text - can we add something that describes why this section is here? I think it’s a bit out of place. Maybe for now without having to make big changes we can put some text that may connect risk with EAPs, like “Argentina has an Early Action Protocol set in place to prepare for these imminent event…” In the next iteration, we may need to change its placement. @justinginnetti this is more for you.
  • Bar chart needs a title (Risks by month), also its scaling is off (0 to 20k is much bigger than the rest). The legends don’t refer to anything within the graph. I assume we have data only for Flood. Can we just have then only one dropdown that says Flood and it’s deselected (unclickable), as clicking it won’t do anything (and legends not needed if there is only one item).
  • In the dropdown, All Hazards should be show as selected, since it’s an option within the dropdown (or should be in logic). If a category doesn’t have data (e.g. cyclone), should not be in the dropdown. If Flood is selected, Inform should not be in the dropdown. When different dropdown options are changes, the graph doesn’t seem to change, but the scale does. Shouldn’t the graph readapt?
  • Past events hazard dropdown has only one item flood. The dropdown should be as above, defaulted to Flood, unselectable. No legends needed for one item.
  • @justinginnetti, what do you think if we add a disclaimer somewhere on the page that says the data may not be complete and shows what’s there now? Sorry if it exists and I’m missing.

Thank you for putting up this ticket, @mariam-yu
