Gray Ch/Re Dots

So when I run a scan, networks show up but the Ch/Re dot is gray. The dots are also gray when I do test injection. I thought it was supposed to start red. Can someone please help me?
Wifi Card: D-Link DWL-G122
Driver: USB RT2570 Device
