Description
I want to present an Aerial Survey
7-votes in Stanford maps meeting
Variation(s)
I want to add a flight path or bounding box of aerial surveys
Related to IIIF/cookbook-recipes#106
Proposed Solutions
(any ideas about how your use case might be supported)
Additional Background
(more about your perspective, existing work, etc. goes here.)
For this use case we propose to create a GeoJSON similar to:
https://stacks.stanford.edu/file/druid:ts545zc6250/index_map.json
which is a index map which links out to IIIF resources. This could be generated using the annotations or service described in earlier use cases.
These could be either modeled as 1 photo per manifest and related by a collection or multiple canvas in a single manifest. If you have larger sets of images (thousands) it might be better to do it as a manifest with collections.
Discussed in the call on the 26th of Feb. This could be split into multiple stories. This ticket assumes the institution has geo data for the aerial survey.
@Stace could you add the Stanford example from geo-blacklight for druid:ts545zc6250
