Calendar permission needed maybe

It can’t seem to find any of my calendars. It did never ask for permission to access them, but it did for the contacts seemingly to be able to login as my user on the tv (that I’m already logged in as)
It does not require the calendar permission as it uses your Google account (via Contacts) and not the Calendar APIs on the system.
Any way to see that last exception from the calendar request task from with the app?
Maybe i’ll Tinker later with it, but was just looking for something to show our calendars easily on Android tv. Is there a Log I can look at if I have an explorer installed?
It does not currently show much for me except give an error about no calendars found.
Within the app, you may not be able to see errors, but they should appear in adb logcat. I don't store logs anywhere.
I'm not sure why the calendar issue would show up.
