@jqr @janxious I'm not sure I have a great handle on what's going on here, but it doesn't look like that PR changed the allow_reconnect behavior? It's still setting @allow_reconnect = false which seems like that isn't respecting allow_reconnect.

Hmmm. Maybe not. I might have misread that other PR. I will re-open.
