i.e radio buttons vs multi-choice
In some cases we should only be able to allow one answer choice and in others we should allow multiple answer choices.

mark nodes as single-choice, and if that's the case, ensure that only one answer choice is selected, and also only display radio buttons
if there is no single-choice attribute, assume that the question is multi-choice, and the default behavior will take over
