I think it's more important for internal folks to know about it and know where it is, than for it to have high rankings on Google. To that end, I propose the following tasks:

Promote the site on Yammer
Promote the site on MS Teams
Add it to new-hire onboarding resources
Link to the site from user group events and company blog posts whenever applicable
Add the Jekyll sitemap plug-in
