The idea with language packs is great. Probably we will put everything in a file named i18n.js that exports different texts in different languages.
I reproduced the bug and reported it in image-to-ascii package: IonicaBizau/image-to-ascii#4

I pushed the fix to that bug. Upgrading this app to use image-to-ascii@1.0.0 should fix the issue.

About language packs, this can be hacked here, but it's not easy. However, contributions are welcome.

BTW, note you should install GraphicsMagick.
