Protect against problem from Ad-blockers

AD.png triggers ad-blockers and stalls the client.

We don't need to get around the ad-blocker entirely (ad-blockers can be disabled), but we should make it so that the client doesn't crash if AD.png (or any resource, for that matter) doesn't render.
