Using the Conductor from the Designer, then closing it, causes GUI issues

If you use the Designer to create an experiment, and then open the Conductor by clicking "Run Trials," the Conductor works fine. But then if you close the Conductor and try to continue using the Designer, the code still tries to update the Conductor GUI, which it cannot do, and causes errors. Need to make sure all remnants of the Conductor are closed when using it this way.
