Only first image of media object is shown

Observed with webtrees 2.1.x, module version v1.2.4 or later, and setting "Directly show media objects of sources in facts and not subordinated within source citations" activated.
Expected behavior: All images of a media object shall be shown.
Note: webtrees does not show all media object either; a custom module "webtrees-simple-media-display" can be used to show all images

Integrated the code from "webtrees-simple-media-display" and created a beta version, see attachement.
